Biography

VICTOR YAMSHCHIKOV

Was born on December 15, 1960 in the town of Bryansk, Russia.
  • 1972–1976 – A student of the Children’s art school.
  • 1978–1984 – A student of the Fine Arts class headed by Victor Vorobyov, a graduate of the Academy of Arts, a teaching artist, the Russian Federation Honored Artist. Bryansk.
  • 1979–1983 – A student of the Bryansk art school.
  • 1985–1991 – A graduate student of the painting faculty at the Repin State Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, the Russian Academy of Arts. Easel painting workshop headed by the USSR People’s Artist Boris Ugarov. Diploma with honors.
  • 1991–1993 – A post-graduate student of the painting and composition department headed by the Russian Federation People’s Artist Victor Reikhet.
  • 1996 – currently – A member of the Russian Union of Artists.
  • 2010 – Elected as an Honorary member of the Russian Academy of Arts.
  • 2011 – A silver medal award from the Russian Academy of Arts.
  • 2013 – Awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.
  • 2018 – Awarded the title of Honorary Adviser to the Russian-Chinese Association for One Belt and One Road project strategy research and development.
  • 2024 – Elected as a board member of the Union of Artists of St. Petersburg.
Victor Yamshchikov has received many certificates of honor, diplomas, and letters of gratitude for his enormous contribution to the development of the Russian art.
