Victor Yamshchikov – a talented painter, a virtuoso singer of a lyrical landscape, has been participating in the Creative Universe project since its inception.
In continuation of the best traditions of Russian patronage, that project funds art tours of St Petersburg painters to European countries and foreign artists to Russia’s regions, exhibitions, publishing and theater/ concert activities, building churches, educational programs, assistance to social institutions as well as gifted writers, painters, and artists.
As part of the Creative Universe project team, Victor Yamshchikov has created a series of colorful, imaginative, and expressive works of art devoted to Cyprus, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, and Italy. The picturesque canvases of this series have been repeatedly presented at iconic Russian and foreign exhibition venues.
Victor Yamshchikov is undoubtedly a classic of contemporary fine art. His creative work naturally fused the traditions of the Leningrad academic school of painting and elements of French impressionism that passed through the prism of the artist’s deep individual perception and rethinking. The painter’s works are distinguished by a variety of colors, saturated shades of oil paints, expressiveness, confident style, and accurate conveyance of nature’s state and mood. All of this makes the great artist’s brushwork unmistakable.
Victor Yamshchikov has an amazing capacity to perceive the viewer’s soul, and sometimes to anticipate his or her yet unconscious and barely perceptible emotional response. See the dream. And to reflect – precisely, subtly and shrewdly – what he’d seen on the canvas.
Victor Yamshchikov’s creative work is a philosophy at the core of which lies an ability to recognize, grasp, and skillfully epitomize the beauty of the surrounding world in a painting, with a call on all of us to be in harmony with nature and reality
